Who We Are

One Word Africa (O.W.A.) is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization, and Dyslexia-Focused initiative formed as a catalyst to address crucial issues affecting learning development in Africa at large and Nigeria in particular. The vital crux of this organization is to promote the needed awareness about the concept of “dyslexia”, as well as address its surrounding challenges through breaching the gap that exists within the process of learning and its experience on students with dyslexia.

Helping Nigerian kids discover their gifts since 2016, this Foundation upholds the principles of Sustainable Development by the United Nations.

Our Mission

To promote an inclusive learning, and ensure new grounds are reached for all dyslexics by integrating a life-long learning development strategy to create a sustainable socio-academic growth in Nigeria, and in turn, Africa. To working with government in influencing policies towards supporting dyslexics.

Our Story

Founded in October 2016, One Word Africa has actively organized socio-academic initiatives on learning development in Lagos, Nigeria. One Word Africa has been recognized by the City of New Orleans and featured by Ynaija (an internet newspaper for the evolving generation) for impacting lives of less privileged children with dyslexia.
